Cards for Kids 2018

Magic 98.9
25 Garlington Rd
Greenville, SC 29615
United States

Event Description:

This Valentine’s Day, Magic 98.9 wants every kid in the Upstate to receive a Valentine’s Day card and is asking their listeners to come together and create homemade valentines for the kids in hospitals who wouldn’t be in a place to receive them otherwise. These cards can be sent to the station where the radio team will arrange and sort them into care packages that include games and station goodies. On February 13th the station staff and volunteers will hand-deliver the care packages to all the kids at the GHS Children’s Hospital.

Guidelines for Cards:

  • Say “Happy Valentine's Day!”
  • Create original, "homemade" cards which show how much you care
  • Make cards sound positive, loving, and uplifting
  • Because children will come from many different social backgrounds and medical histories, please omit the following:
    • References to "get well" or "hope you feel better"
  • No glitter or loose attachments
  • No candy or toys
  • Please don't include your personal contact information or address the card to a specific name
  • Please don’t seal envelopes
  • Create as MANY as you want, but please separate your cards in GENDER SPECIFIC groups (boys/girls)
