WATCH: Celine Dion Opens First Show After Las Vegas Shooting With Emotional Tribute

October 4, 2017

Footage from Celine Dion’s first Las Vegas show since Sunday night’s massacre at the Route 91 Harvest Festival was just released.

Celine opened Tuesday’s show with a poignant speech at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, just a ways down the Las Vegas Strip from the site of Sunday night's ragedy.

Dion acknowledged the questions for the audience of “should we go to the show?,” and for her the question of “should I do my show only two days after the nightmare?,” in her poignant remarks.

"I want you to know that you have made the right choice in being here tonight,” Dion told the crowd. “And the reason that I decided to do this show so soon is more than to just sing. It is to show love and support for those who are affected."

Celine went on to pledge that the proceeds from Tuesday’s concert would be donated to the victim’s families, on behalf of the crowd in attendance.

Dion dedicated the performance to all those affected by the unthinkable tragedy, and she went on to thank the heroes (first responders, medical professionals, ordinary citizens) who have stepped up to help in a time of incredible tragedy.
